We're always looking for BBQ. After seeing an article in our paper we knew we had to try it. They did make it sound like a fast food in a gas station. We were there before noon so there was plenty of seating. I had the brisket while my husband had the ribs. I am Type 2 so I am picky when eating out. I enjoyed not having it drenched in sauce. I also appreciated the choice for sides were vegetables or fried foods. The staff was very friendly. The prices are reasonable and the staff very friendly. It is worth a visit.
I saw a dog one time. I'm pretty sure it was friendly, but that's a mistake I've made before... and I paid with my life. So I let the dog walk away without attempting to pet it.
Also, the Brunswick stew is pretty good.
Food is great....especially the pie...if you don't get desert you WILL regret it. The bbq was very good so was the home made vinegar sauce... The only got 4 stars because their side were average, but still good. We'll worth the trip.

Great cheesecake! Brisket can be hit or miss. The first time I had it, it was awesome. The second time I had it, it seemed like leftovers oversaturated in brine. Excellent staff! There is a bit of a wait during the lunch hour, but the food is some of the best in town.
